Tony Buntyn Heads to Washington
Jun 23, 2010TAMPA, FL – Today, Tony Buntyn, Republican candidate for Florida’s 11th Congressional District, departs for Washington DC to meet with high-ranking officials, conservative advocacy groups and the nations’ top think-tanks. As a family man, small business owner, and military officer, Tony Buntyn is looking forward to the opportunity to share his ideas with a long list of U.S. Senators and Congressmen whom he is schedule to meet on his trip.
Tony Buntyn decided to run for Congress because of the serious problems facing our nation.
“With rising taxes, a bloated government, and spending out of control, I decided to run for Congress to bring common sense leadership to Washington,” said Tony Buntyn. “As a military officer and business owner, I understand how to keep America safe and grow our economy. Washington is broken, and I intend to fix it!”
Tony Buntyn is a businessman running for Florida’s 11th Congressional District. Buntyn is the owner of U.S. Cyber Solutions, Inc. and is a Cyber Warfare thought leader consulting for key cyber security companies to enhance cyber warfare capabilities for the US and her allies. Buntyn is also a Colonel in the US Air Force Reserve and has served in the Mississippi Air National Guard, the Texas Air National Guard and the US Air Force Reserve for over 31 years. Since September 11, 2001, Tony has been activated three times, serving overseas in Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and stateside for Operation Noble Eagle and disaster relief efforts. Most recently, Tony was the Vice Commander of the USAF Cyber Command Provisional and also served as the Deputy Director of Communications for the USAF’s Combined Air Operation Center which commands all combat air operations in the Middle East for the US Central Command. Buntyn has earned numerous decorations for his service including the Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star Medal. Tony has been married to his wife Carol for 23 years. The Buntyns reside in South Tampa where their two children attend public schools and are active members of Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church.
